Admission and Arrival in Kaiserslautern
After having been accepted as ERASMUS-student at the faculty of Spatial and Environmental Planning at the Rheinland-Pfälzischen Technischen Universität Kaiserslautern-Landau you will be contacted by theDepartment of International Affairs (ISGS). This department will support you with the enrolement at the university, residential arrangements and all other organizational concerns.
Lecturing periods
An overview of all important semester dates and lecture periods of the coming semesters can be found here. The lecture period is followed by an exam period which ususally lasts the whole (!) vacation period. The German language courses start already before the beginning of the lectures.
Introduction week at the beginning of the winter semester
The students council and the faculty of Spatial and Environmental planning organizes and introduction week for new Bachelor- and Master students at the beginning of each winter semester. The introduction week takes place one week before the regular lecturing period. Further informations can be found on the facebook page of the students council.
The aim of this event is to present the faculty, to win first insights into the study and to get to know the other students.
As exchange student you are warmly invited to participate as well. If you are interested please contact Mr Jonas Pauly or the students council early as possible in advance.
ERASMUS-Welcome-Meeting
Before the lectures start an ERASMUS-Welcome-Meeting will be held at the faculty. You will be provided with more information about studying at the faculty and your Learning Agreement will be discussed and can be adjusted. It is very important that you participate in this meeting.

Erasmus Scout Programme
After having been accepted at the faculty of Spatial and Environmental Planning you will get a German Buddy (a German student at the RPTU) which you can contact already before the start of your stay abroad if you have questions. The buddy will especially help you at the start of your studies in Kaiserslautern and will stand by you if you have any questions.

Exam reigistartion
For the exam registration you need this form. The form must be submitted to the examination office no later than one week before the examination.
The responsibilities arise depending on the department. Here you will find the staff responsible for you at the examination office. Registration via the QIS is therefore not possible. A deregistration from the exam is possible until one day before the exam. Medical certificates must be submitted by 2 weeks after the exam. In the case of unexcused absence, the note "absent" will be shown on the transcript of records. The Transcript of Records will also be generated and issued by the Examinations Office after the end of the stay at the TUK.
Transcript of Records
To sucessfully complete a course you need to pass written or oral exams, pass an exercise or write and present and assignment. For each sucessfully completed course you will get a so-named "Schein". Please contact your lecturer to learn what is expected from you to complete the course. The "Schein" will be acknowledged by your home university if it was accepted in the Learning Agreement.
To receive this Transcript of Records, contact the responsible office of the Examination Office at the end of your stay at the TUK. They will prepare the transcript for you.
